Description
As traditional Chinese armor became more sophisticated, early Chinese archers replaced their side-swords with a sturdy heavy mace. A fascination with all things historically accurate has led Cold Steel to produce this latest offering – the Chinese Mace, that they believe any Chinese soldier or archer would have been proud to own! The classic head is reminiscent of a pumpkin in shape and is approximately 3 inches in diameter. It is welded to a steel shaft that is wrapped with leather for a firm grip. For added leverage, the handle is long enough to accommodate a two-handed grasp. The Chinese Mace weighs a little over 3 pounds but remains surprisingly well balanced!
