German Long Sword

Cold Steel's German Long Sword is a premium collectible inspired by historical German examples and intended for historical display. Its 1060 carbon steel blade is expertly heat-treated and spring-tempered, with a polished, hand-finished surface and balanced construction. A large S-guard and side ring retain the design's period-inspired profile. The wrapped leather grip terminates in a heavy steel pommel that counterbalances the long blade. Twisting spiral detailing on the pommel provides a decorative, textured surface that remains comfortable to hold with gloved or gauntleted hands. The German Long Sword is supplied with a thick, ridged, hand-stitched leather scabbard featuring an antiqued steel chape and brass-buckled leather straps.
