Norman Sword

Inspired by surviving Norman-era examples, the Cold Steel Norman Sword is presented as a historically styled collectible piece for display and appreciation. It features a long, wide blade with a single broad fuller in the centre to reduce weight, improve balance and add stiffness. The hilt is reminiscent of many surviving originals, with upturned, spatulated quillons, a leather-over-wood grip and a modified "cocked hat" pommel. This pommel shape was chosen to allow more room for the hand while counter-balancing the blade.
