Thompson Saber

The Thompson Saber is a newly developed modern sabre rather than a historical or period-specific reproduction. Designed by Cold Steel President Lynn C Thompson and made to his specifications, it combines influences from Western, Japanese and Filipino design traditions. The blade has a graduated edge profile, with a finer first six inches from the point and a progressively thicker profile along the remainder. A deeply blued finish aids rust resistance. The sabre features a modified 1904-style guard and a sizeable rayskin-wrapped handle designed to accommodate large gloves. It comes complete with a heavy-duty leather and steel scabbard and a leather belt frog for storage and transport. Its modern design, materials and detailed construction give it strong collectible and display appeal.
