The Shell Guard Cutlass from Kingston Arms is a carefully proportioned interpretation of the classic short cutlass associated with maritime history and the golden age of piracy. With a 30 1/4 in overall length and a 23 3/4 in blade, it offers a compact, weight-forward profile suited to collectors, historical displays and enthusiasts of naval-style blades. The 1566 steel blade features a 15 1/2 in fuller running along both sides, helping to reduce weight while retaining a substantial feel. A stainless steel shell guard and smaller thumb guard give the hilt its distinctive character, while the leather-wrapped grip, wire-wrapped accents and stainless steel pommel complete the traditional presentation. A black leather-wrapped scabbard is included, fitted with a stainless steel chape and locket. The locket features a button for attachment to a sword belt, making the piece especially well suited to period costume, display or a historically themed collection.
