Description
This is a replica of an English Civil War Tuck Sword, designed and created by John Barnett to museum quality. This sword was an ideal close quarter weapon that could withstand the rigours of hard use due to having a short and strong blade. It's compact size meant it was easy to wear and would not get in the way when using a musket or pike. As well as being a popular sword with military men, short Tuck Swords were also favoured by civilians, being especially useful for self-defence when travelling or hunting.
