Description
Chinese straight-bladed sword traditions include the heavier Wu Jian and lighter Wen Jian forms. The Cold Steel Gim Sword is based on the Wu Jian design and is intended as a collectible piece for historical display. Its 1060 carbon steel blade measures 30 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide and features a double-edged profile that terminates in a point. The traditionally styled guard and pommel are cast from thick brass and fitted to a sturdy, decorative rosewood handle. The Gim Sword includes a wood scabbard with a brass throat, chape and sword rings.
