Description
By the end of the 17th century, the shorter and lighter Small Sword had emerged as a distinct design from the longer Rapier. The Cold Steel Small Sword recreates key characteristics of period originals, including their weight, balance and triangular blade cross-section, while using modern 1055 carbon steel heat treated to a tough spring temper. The hilt has two shells, functional finger loops and a light yet strong knuckle guard. Weighing 22 ounces, this collectible piece is intended for historical display and comes with an attractive leather scabbard featuring an intricately decorated throat and chape.
