Description
The Atrim Design Type XIIIa War Sword from Kingston Arms is based on Oakeshott’s Type XIIIa classification, a form associated with 12th- to early 13th-century European sword design. Developed from Gus Trim’s approach to proportion, taper and harmonic design, this production medieval sword is presented as a historically informed collectible for display. The 32 3/4" blade is hand forged from mono-tempered 9260 spring steel, flat ground and finished with a clean satin polish. Stainless steel fittings follow Gus Trim’s design, while the 10" grip has a solid wood core with cord reinforcement and a textured leather over-wrap. A premium wood-core scabbard with a stitched leather covering and stainless steel chape completes the presentation.
