Lotus Katana Lmtd Edition

The Lotus Katana Lmtd Edition by Citadel is a rare, hand-made Japanese sword from a limited run of only 100 pieces. Produced in Citadel’s small workshop in Phnom Penh, each katana is crafted individually from start to finish, giving every example its own subtle character. Each sword is signed by the smith on the nakago with its individual number and supplied with a matching certificate, making it a distinctive piece for collectors and historical display. The solid DNH7 steel blade has no bo-hi, resulting in a slightly higher weight and a more forward point of balance. Its geometry tapers sharply from the shinogi to the mune and incorporates a thicker edge with traditional niku. The fittings are refined and restrained, with hand-cut pure iron components finished in a deep black patina. The lotus tsuba follows an older kyo sukashi, maru gata style, complementing the clean character of the sword. The tsuka and saya are hand-carved to fit the individual blade, with black Japanese silk ito over full same-gawa, hishigami reinforcement, semi-gloss lacquer and buffalo horn mounts for a high-quality traditional finish.
