PSK Plus XL Katana-New

The PSK Plus XL Katana-New revisits a respected CAS Hanwei Performance Series design with refreshed detailing and an emphasis on materials, craftsmanship and collectible presentation. Built around the XL blade geometry, this katana is presented as a collectible piece for display and appreciation of Japanese sword craftsmanship. The blade is forged from 1566 steel and differentially hardened in the traditional manner, with a hardness of around HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the spine. The updated furniture, including the tsuba, fuchi, kashira and menuki, benefits from new tooling for a cleaner appearance that recalls the character of earlier originals, while the Practical Plus-style fittings and natural tsuka components retain a traditional Japanese sword format. Formerly made at the Hanwei forge, the CAS Hanwei line continues under experienced Dalian artisans at the Dragon King forge, including Frenchie Jin, an original engineer connected with the brand’s early manufacturing.
