Kinryu Folded Steel Katana #1

The Kinryu Folded Steel Katana #1 by Dragon King is the first in a limited-edition series of forged and folded katana featuring a detailed dragon-motif horimono on the blade. Produced under the direction of Dragon King founder Frenchie Jin, it showcases the brand’s emphasis on material quality, careful finishing and traditional Japanese sword presentation. The 27 3/4" blade is folded from T10 and 9260 steels to create a pronounced hada, with the patterning particularly visible through the hamon. It measures 40 1/4" overall, with an 11 1/4" tsuka and a weight of 2 lb 10 oz, making it a substantial collectible piece for display and appreciation of traditional craftsmanship. The mounting features brown Japanese silk over genuine black-dyed samegawa on the tsuka and a deep gold lacquered saya. A black-lacquered rattan wrap at the mouth and genuine buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri complete the presentation.
