Kinryu Folded Steel Katana #1

The Kinryu Folded Steel Katana #1 by Dragon King is the first in a limited edition series of forged and folded katana featuring a detailed dragon-motif horimono on the blade. Produced under the direction of Dragon King founder Frenchie Jin, it showcases the brand’s emphasis on material quality, careful finishing and traditional Japanese sword presentation. The 27 3/4" blade is folded from T10 and 9260 steels to create a pronounced hada, with the patterning particularly visible through the hamon. Its 40 1/4" overall length, 11 1/4" tsuka and 2 lb 10 oz weight give it a substantial yet balanced feel, making it suitable for serious collectors and experienced practitioners who value both form and function. The mounting is equally striking, with brown Japanese silk over real black-dyed samegawa on the tsuka and a deep gold lacquered saya. A black-lacquered rattan wrap at the mouth and real buffalo horn koiguchi, kurikata and kojiri complete the presentation.
