Dragonfly Katana with Bohi 28″ Blade/12″ Handle

The Bugei Dragonfly Katana with Bohi is a refined Japanese sword intended for collecting, display and appreciation of traditional craftsmanship. Individually hand-forged and folded, the blade combines T-10 and 1055 steel to create a distinctive layered contrast, with polishing that reveals a prominent hada. Its lower shinogi, scant hira-niku and bohi contribute to its carefully considered geometry and profile. The dragonfly motif is carried throughout the decorative fittings, including an antiqued iron tsuba with copper inlay set against the weathered finish. The 12" tsuka features black same, dark brown Japanese silk ito and a subtle ryugo waist. Measuring 45 1/2" overall with a 28" blade, this Bugei katana combines traditional construction, detailed finishing and strong collectible appeal.
