Several large Scottish-style swords have traditionally been associated with historic figures such as William Wallace and Robert the Bruce. Examination of surviving examples suggests that many of these pieces align more closely with 16th-century forms than with the early 1300s. This museum-quality collectible reflects that later historical styling, with features such as a substantial cross-hilt, possible langlet detailing, shaped quillion terminals and a pommel form inspired by wheel, spherical or pear-shaped examples. Intended as a collectible piece for historical display, it focuses on period-inspired design, materials and craftsmanship.
