Description
The celebrated Cawood Sword, named after its discovery near Cawood Castle in England, is regarded as one of the finest and best-preserved examples of an 11th-century Viking sword. Hanwei’s collectible reproduction accurately recreates the original’s lobated pommel, steeply down-curved quillons and wide-fullered blade, using 5160 high-carbon steel. The hard-core grip is overlaid with brown leather and complemented by a steel throat and chape. Although no details of the original scabbard are known, Hanwei’s matching version reflects period styling. It is constructed from wood, wrapped in leather and finished with decorative elements and a solid steel end cap. Designed as a collectible piece for historical display.
