American Spontoon Spear

The Cold Steel American Spontoon Spear is a historically inspired piece based on traditional Colonial-era designs. Cold Steel President Lynn C. Thompson became fascinated by the spontoon after reading Tim Willocks' novel The Twelve Children of Paris three times, leading Cold Steel to create its own model based on historical examples. The blade is 10.5" long and 4 mm thick, with 3.5" wings on either side. Mounted on a stout ash wood pole with a decorative 3-ring socket, it is suited to Colonial-era historical display and collection.
