Just like its bigger brother, this Teutonic Crusader Dagger embodies the look, style, and spirit of the same blades that crusaders would have preferred to wield in their holy wars, as they fought to reclaim both land and salvation from their enemies. Most knightly orders, the Teutonic order included, were created to protect pilgrims, build hospitals, or provide service to those who were in need, and it was only in times of need did those orders take up arms. This dagger is one such weapon that any Teutonic knight would have favored as a secondary side-arm, being both small and light-weight. It has a forged high carbon steel blade with a fuller that runs down about two-thirds of the blade, serving to make it light and nimble, as well as sturdy and strong. The wood wrapped hilt encases full tang construction, while the straight cross guard would have protected the hand. The pommel echoes the symbol of the Teutonic knight, displaying a small black cross. Included with the dagger is a leather-wrapped wooden scabbard, complete with metal throat and chape.
