Dragonfly Katana with Bohi 29″ Blade/13″ Handle

The Dragonfly Katana with Bohi from Bugei is a refined Japanese sword inspired by traditional Japanese craftsmanship and dragonfly symbolism. The theme is reflected in the carefully detailed fittings, including an antiqued iron tsuba with a copper inlaid dragonfly set against a weathered finish. Its 29" hand-forged, folded blade combines T-10 and 1055 steel, producing a visible layered hada when polished. The bohi, lower shinogi and scant hira-niku contribute to a lighter profile, while the differential hardness of HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the back reflects traditionally inspired construction. The 13" tsuka features traditional construction, real ray skin and Japanese silk wrap. Dark brown ito over black same creates a distinctive appearance, complemented by a slight ryugo waist.
