Its 9-inch san-mai stainless steel blade uses a traditional laminated construction, placing a hard steel core between softer outer layers to balance edge retention and resilience. The handle is fully wrapped in genuine ray skin, providing a firm, tactile grip and a premium traditional appearance. Gold-plated oriole menuki, gold accents, a gold saya and a brown-and-gold sageo complete the presentation, with the plum blossom motif unifying the design.
