The Pine Crane Wakizashi (Brown Ito) from Dragon King is a finely presented Japanese sword inspired by two enduring symbols of Japanese culture: the red-crowned crane and the pine tree. The crane is associated with longevity and authority, while the pine represents wisdom and strength, making this wakizashi a meaningful collectible and display piece. This current batch features brown tsuka-ito rather than the originally specified black, with all other details made to specification. Its 19 5/8" forged T10 steel blade features a prominent hamon, mirror-finished ji and mune, and differential hardness of 60 HRC at the edge and 40 HRC at the back. The fittings carry the Pine Crane theme throughout, with bronzed steel tsuba, fuchi and kashira, silver crane menuki, white same and brown cotton wrap. The dark brown textured saya is finished with a black and matte striped section, charcoal and copper accented sageo, and buffalo horn korikata and kojiri. Sageo colours may vary.
