The Dragon King Yanone Katana is a striking Japanese sword that pairs clean, modern presentation with traditional design cues. Its name and styling draw on the yanone, the Japanese arrowhead, with the motif carried through the openwork tsuba, copper-toned fletching menuki, and detailed basket-weave texture on the fuchi and kashira. The result is a refined collectable katana with visual interest throughout and an understated finish. The forged 1566 steel blade measures 27 inches and features a real hamon, with a thickness of 6.4 mm at the guard and a 7/8-inch sori. Differential hardness is specified at HRC 60 on the edge and HRC 40 on the back, reflecting its traditional construction profile. The 11-inch handle is built around a wood core with black nylon tsuka-ito over white synthetic samegawa, combining classic construction with durable synthetic materials. A black lacquered saya and black sageo complete the black-on-black presentation, contrasting with the white samegawa and copper-toned fittings. Please note that the sageo cord on the scabbard may not be wrapped exactly as pictured.
