Yanone Katana

The Dragon King Yanone Katana is a striking Japanese sword that pairs clean, modern presentation with traditional design cues. Its name and styling draw on the yanone, the Japanese arrowhead, with the motif carried through the pierced tsuba, copper-toned fletching menuki, and the detailed basket-weave texture on the fuchi and kashira. The result is a refined collectible katana with visual interest throughout, without an overcomplicated finish. The forged 1566 steel blade measures 27" and features a real hamon, with a robust 6.4 mm thickness at the guard and a 7/8" sori. Differential hardness is specified at HRC 60 on the edge and HRC 40 on the back, giving the blade a traditional performance-oriented construction profile. The 11" handle is built around a wood core with black nylon tsuka-ito over white synthetic samegawa, balancing classic construction with durable synthetic materials. A black lacquered saya and black sageo complete the understated black-on-black presentation, contrasting neatly with the white samegawa and copper-toned fittings.
