Wolf Katana

The Citadel Wolf Katana is a limited-edition Japanese sword with strong collectible appeal and the individual character of a handmade piece. Produced in Citadel’s small workshop in Phnom Penh, each sword is crafted from start to finish using the same approach as their custom work. The edition is limited to 100 swords, with each example signed by the smith on the nakago, numbered, and supplied with a matching certificate. Its 26 3/4" forged DNH7 blade features bo hi to help reduce weight while retaining the presence expected of a full-sized katana. The blade is differentially hardened to HRC 60 at the edge and HRC 40 at the back, with a 1" sori and an overall length of 39 1/4". At 2 lb 3 oz, it offers a substantial yet well-considered feel for collectors and display. The detailing gives the Wolf Katana its distinctive character: a black etched wolf tsuba, lightly textured fuchi and kashira, suede tsuka ito over white same, and moon-and-cloud menuki. The dark brown lacquered saya is finished with a grey mist effect and fitted with buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri, with the saya carved to the individual sword for a proper fit.
