Wolf Wakizashi

The Wolf Wakizashi by Citadel is a limited handmade Japanese sword created for collectors and display. Produced individually from start to finish in Citadel’s small workshop in Phnom Penh, each piece has subtle variations in character. Limited to 100 swords, each example is signed by the smith on the nakago with its individual number and supplied with a matching certificate. The 21-inch DNH7 blade features bo hi and differential hardness, with an HRC 60 edge and HRC 40 back. The 9-inch tsuka is wrapped in suede tsuka ito over white same with a full same-gawa wrap, complemented by a black etched wolf tsuba, lightly textured fuchi and kashira, and moon-and-cloud menuki. A dark brown lacquered saya with a grey mist finish, buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri completes the presentation, with each saya carved for its individual sword.
