Summer Lotus Katana

The Summer Lotus Katana by Dragon King continues the brand’s themed katana series with a design inspired by the richness and vitality of the season. Its blackened tsuba features a water garden, lotus flower and tree motif, echoed by snail and frog menuki on the handle. These details give the sword a distinctive symbolic character while maintaining the traditional proportions and presentation of a well-appointed Japanese sword. The 28 1/8" blade is forged from 5160 through-tempered carbon steel and formed with a 1 1/2" kissaki, 3/4" sori and robust blade geometry. The black tsuka-ito contrasts with the real white same, while the silver habaki, notched seppa and green textured lacquered saya complete the seasonal colour palette. A collectable piece centred on Japanese design heritage, materials and craftsmanship. Please note that the sageo cord on the saya may not be wrapped exactly as pictured.
